Mechanics of Hearing 2024 Sponsorship
The 15th Mechanics of Hearing Workshop will be held at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI USA on June 8-14, 2024. This workshop brings together around 150 researchers from around the world. Over the years, the workshop has become a recognized platform for well-established and upcoming researchers from various backgrounds (including physiology, physics, engineering, and neuroscience) working on all aspects of the mechanics of hearing, at the molecular, cellular and systems level and using biological, mathematical, and engineering techniques. All are united by the common goal of understanding how typical and atypical ears function, how function is disrupted, and how to prevent and repair disruption of function. One exciting aspect of this Workshop series is the intentional creation of opportunities for one-on-one discussions between experienced researchers and those earlier in their training and research. This sort of interaction is much more difficult to attain at a larger national and international meetings.
A special technical emphasis of the workshop will be the application of machine learning and data science to hearing science, and we plan to invite a number of speakers on this topic. In addition, we plan to hold a session on diversity and inclusion in auditory mechanics with a number of speakers.
In previous years we have kept the registration fees low for participants by mitigating the expenses associated with hosting the conference with support from industry leaders. Your support will help us host a memorable meeting of the highest quality.
How will we use your donation: Will use these funds to pay for workshop related costs including, for instance, rent, close-captioning (and archiving of Q&A sessions), AV assistance, food and refreshments, and other meeting costs. Following with the tradition of this workshop, we will use the bulk of these donations to help provide financial support to attendees who are pre-doctoral and postdoctoral researchers from the US and abroad, as well as for specific support for attendees from underrepresented groups.
Sponsorship Tiers:

Silver Sponsor $1,500: Benefits – Acknowledgement and logo on printed materials, workshop website, and workshop banners.
We hope that you will be able to help us keep this event affordable to participants of the 2024 Mechanics of Hearing Workshop with a charitable donation to the host institute, the University of Michigan, Department of Mechanical Engineering[1].
Thank you,
